We're on the beach side of the Munster crossroads..

Munster is a little coastal village along the east coast of South Africa .. locally known as the Hibiscus Coast .. an 80 minute drive south of Durban (Natal's premier port city) and only 15 minutes from the nearest commercial airport at Margate, 10 minutes north of the Wild Coast Casino and 7 minutes from Port Edward, the nearest town. 

The village itself is 2 km (inland) from the Merry Crab and caters to most of the residents' and holiday makers' needs, offering a variety of services including a trading post, a farm stall, a postal agency, a bottle store and a service station.  The turn off to the Merry Crab is at the Munster cross-roads. A quiet and tranquil hideaway it fringes the Indian Ocean. 

Incredible balmy weather, majestic ships gliding by, warm shark-protected bays, dolphins at play, clean soft sand, wild palms, duiker, prolific bird life and sundowner river cruises .. are just some of the reasons you too might get hooked on our magical coastline! Don't go away - there's more.. 

6 golf courses .. 4 of which are within a few minutes of the Merry Crab and of the 4, two are of South Africa's top 3 much televised International Courses!  This has earned our area the reputation of a world class golf destination - hence the title, 'Golf Coast'. Coupled with beautiful settings, excellent greens and fairways and the extremely affordable 'Merry Crab' .. its no wonder !

And what good would it all be without something to tempt the palate? Our fine array of restaurants cater to the South African as well as the European tastes, their glorious tropical surrounds comparable to anywhere in the world.
